Youth, friendship and Volleyball the winners in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Odžak, Bosnia and Herzegovina, August 6, 2017. A seminar for Beach Volleyball coaches and referees and a Youth Beach Volleyball Summer Festival, two development projects that gathered more than 200 young Volleyball players, coaches and referees from Bosnia and Herzegovina ended in Odžak on Sunday.

An impressive number of boys and girls – some 150 – aged 8 to 18 spent more than seven hours on Saturday and Sunday competing across as many as 10 courts, socialising and having fun while playing their favourite game – Volleyball.

At the same time, a seminar for Beach Volleyball coaches and referees gathered 20 coaches and 20 referees. In accordance with the established plans and programme, the coaches and referees attended theoretical classes on Friday, while on Saturday and Sunday they applied that knowledge by attending matches of the Youth Summer Festival.

Drago Peslač from Croatia, Anton Pevc from Slovenia, Marko Stojanović from Serbia and Kristina Pantelić Babić from Bosnia and Herzegovina were the lecturers at this year’s seminar. The main goal of this CEV development project is to educate and train Beach Volleyball coaches and referees, so they can acquire additional knowledge, improve their skills and learn new ways to grow the sport.

At the end of a busy and exciting weekend, all participants received diplomas and gold medals as a souvenir of this truly unique experience.
