Turkey gets golden finish in U16 Balkan Championship – Women

Sombor, Serbia, July 29, 2018. The champion of the U16 Balkan Championship – Women was clarified after the 15th and last group game of the tournament on Sunday. In the decisive clash, Turkey faced hosts Serbia. Despite losing first set, Turkish team came from behind to beat Serbia 3-1 and crowned as champions of the Balkans. With only one loss, Serbia secured second place while Greece took the bronze medal in Sombor after five days of round robin action.

As a result, Turkey secured their ticket to the Final Round of the 2019 CEV U16 Volleyball European Championship – Women.
