Second stage of Beach Volleyball development project to take place in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, August 4, 2017. The Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be implementing this weekend the second stage of the CEV development project known as “Seminar for Beach Volleyball coaches and referees”.

The project started in Laktaši in 2016, and this year it continues in the city of Odžak with the help of the local Volleyball club Napredak. As many as 20 coaches and 20 referees from across Bosnia and Herzegovina will take part in the seminar. The main goal of the project is to educate young Beach Volleyball coaches and referees from the Balkan country, thus helping to take the sport to the next level.

On the first day of the seminar, the attendees will join a series of theoretical classes with lectures given by experts from Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia, while the second and third day will feature practical sessions.

The city of Odžak will also play host to a Beach Volleyball Summer Festival on Saturday and Sunday with matches taking place across as many as 10 courts. Young boys and girls aged 8 to 18 will take part in the festival. The organisers expect some 250 young players from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia to compete across the following age groups:

Group I: boys and girls aged 8 and 9

Group II: boys and girls aged 10 and 11

Group III: boys and girls aged 12 and 13

Group IV: boys and girls aged 14 and 15

Group V: boys and girls aged 16, 17 and 18

Upon completion of the festival, all participants will receive medals and diplomas as a souvenir from this truly unique experience.
