ERC President and Secretary share CEV’s vision with Albanian referees

Tirana, Albania, January 12, 2019. The Albanian Volleyball Federation (FSHV) and their Refereeing Technical Committee organised this weekend a seminar for Volleyball referees in Tirana. This time, the FSHV invited high-profile lecturers to lead the workshop, namely the President and Secretary of the European Refereeing Commission (ERC), Mr Luciano Gaspari and Ms Zorica Bjelic.

The two discussed many topics together with the attendees, with a focus on the innovative approach and philosophy that the CEV has been working on in order to develop and modernise Volleyball refereeing.

The referees attending the seminar had the opportunity to familiarise with and discuss about the interpretation and application of the rules of the game, responsibilities, procedures and techniques to use to run a match in the best way, especially in order to have a more effective communication with the players and coaches. The goal is to raise self-esteem and ultimately to have a better management of the game.

The FSHV, together with the Refereeing Technical Committee, thanks both lecturers for their dedication and work during this seminar and at the same time would like to emphasise that such seminars and training programmes will continue in the future as well, thus aiming at raising the level of Volleyball refereeing and ensure high-quality performance in the management of the game.
