CEV President attends handover ceremony of houses built for victims of floods

Belgrade, Serbia, November 5, 2017. A special ceremony took place Saturday at a small village called Viča, Municipality of Lučani, Serbia, marking the official ‘handover’ of houses built through the funds donated by CEV, FIVB and the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation at the initiative of CEV President Aleksandar Boričić following the severe flooding that struck this area back in 2014.

The houses were donated to the Municipality and the keys handed over to three families with more than two children, who lost everything in the floods and resulting landslides.

CEV President and FIVB 2nd Executive Vice-President, Mr Aleksandar Boričić, attended the ceremony together with the President of the Municipality of Lučani, Ms Vesna Stambolić, and the State Secretary for Sport of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Serbia, Mr Predrag Peruničić.

The Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Serbia, Mr Bogdan Obradović, the President of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, Mr Zoran Gajić and a representative from the Embassy of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Serbia, Mr Elvin Alizada joined as well.
