THE BALKAN VOLLEYBALL ASSOCIATION
Vrnjacka Banja, Serbia, March 05, 2021. Bulgaria claimed the first place in the 2021 U17 Balkan Championship – Men thus booked its place in the CEV U17 Volleyball European Championship 2021 - Men.
The last game of the tournament, Bulgaria vs. Serbia, was the decisive match up for the championship and #EuroVolleyU17M ticket.
After two wins in the first two days, hosts Serbia needed only one set to lead the group while Bulgaria needed a straight sets victory. In the end it was Bulgarian team who achieved its goal thanks to a 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-21) win.
Despite defeating Romania 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-19) and gaining second victory of the tournament, Turkey finished third.
Bulgaria will be in Albania on July 10-18 for the final round of #EuroVolleyU17M. Serbia, Turkey and Romania will compete in the 2nd Qualification Round on May 6-9.
