Last year’s queens of Vakifbank TTelekom are only one step away from another final four in

Europe’s most elitist competition and even though their opponent in the 1/4 finals, France’s

RC CANNES, is really strong, still the players and the local fans have their eyes already set

on the great finale in Baku, Azerbaijan.

With only two days left before the home match with the girls from the French Riviera, head

coach Giovanni Guidetti says: “RC CANNES is just a great team. They haven’t lost a single

match so far in the competition and they have always displayed excellent Volleyball. Their

roster includes some of the best Volleyball players in the world and so we have a very tough

game ahead of us. However, we are in great shape and evidently motivated. We believe in

our chances and we know that if we act as a team, we can beat anyone out there”. 

“We have started our preparations for the double header with RC CANNES, a team that has

world-class players. We have only two matches left before making it to the final four and all

we need is to play our best. We also need the help of our supporters who will be there as usual”

adds team captain Gözde Sonsirma Kirdar.
